Better Day Solutions is all about helping you to achieve your goals by creating assistive technology solutions that are practical, affordable and as unique as you are. Whether you are seeking independence in the activities of daily living or needing ways around the barriers to realising a dream, we want to help. We are a husband-and-wife team with a combined skill set, experience and interests that we believe will enable us to provide you with great solutions.
Check out our portfolio to get an idea of projects we’ve already worked on, but this is just the starting point. As engineers, we enjoy (and feel we’re pretty good at) coming up with innovative solutions, so feel free to get in touch, whatever your issue might be. From our experience in the disability sector, we are committed to provide a person-centred service – we won’t tell you what you need, we’ll listen to you and provide what you want.
Warren is a design engineer with over 25 years of experience. His specialty is taking a design concept and turning it into a reality. This begins with the creation of a model on the computer using the Solidworks CAD system. Then comes the “hands-on” part of making the device using a 3D printer and/or other tools. Sometimes we might be creating from scratch and other times we might be adapting already existing components.
Originally qualified as a mechanical engineer, Jody made a sea change in 2018. The aim was to develop her skills in the therapeutic space, particularly animal-assisted therapy, after enjoying volunteering with her dogs and visiting a wide variety of facilities since 2014. In 2019 she began doing disability support work. She is currently at university studying to become a qualified Recreation Therapist. Jody loves meeting and getting to know people. She is passionate about inclusion, accessibility and seeing people reach their full potential.
